Baby Ballet and Pre-K Ballet

Classes will consist of familiarizing students with simple ballet steps, ballet technique, ballet terminology, musicality, and creative movement. Students will learn simple movement concepts, such as self and general space, high, middle and low levels, shapes, direction and speed.  Students will also learn problem solving skills, listening skills, how to follow directions, work with other students and begin to build self esteem and self discipline. This class will be helpful in the seperation process from the parent and will give the student a creative outlet. Students will learn to explore their ideas of dance and how to create movement. Each class will be 45 minutes.

Ballet Technique

Ballet technique is the basis for modern, tap, jazz, and hip hop. Ballet is vital to the performance quality of all dance forms. Class will focus on ballet steps, technique,terminology, musicality, and combinations. Class will build awareness ofproper alignment, muscle control and injury prevention.  Students will also learn problem solving skills, listening skills, how to follow directions, work with other students and begin to build self esteem and self discipline. Ballet also conditions the body and builds stamina, strength and flexibility. Each level will have specific guidelines as to what terminolgy will be learned, with the higher levels becoming more complex and challenging.
